Welcome

Welcome to the Korean Music Therapy Association. Music therapy is relatively a new profession that achieves and contribute health related issues improving the quality of life. I believe that music therapy will further develop and establish its role and value within the cultural environment of the 21st century.
Having a meaningful music experience with music therapists will not be limited to an individual's body physically, but expand to a healthy holistic environment emotional, social and spiritual. To achieve this aim, we will continue to focus in educating as well as training music therapists to be well equipped and experienced.
Currently, we are the only nonprofit music therapy organization in Korea. With that said, we will be working to develop and establish this profession in Korea. We ask for your continuous attention and support in this matter. Thank you!

About KMTA

Korean Music Therapy Association was founded in 1996 to develop and establish a music therapy profession in Korea. It is now the first and only nonprofit music therapy organization in Korea. KMTA is committed in advancing education, training, professional standards, credentials, information exchange and research for the music therapy profession.

Membership

Membership consists of four categories:
1. Professional member (people who have a masters degree or above in
music therapy)
2. Associate (professionals who have qualifications and degrees that are
related to music therapy)
3. Students (students in music therapy studies)
4. Patrons (individuals or companies who sponsor the development of music therapy) members.
